ConceptSolutions Wins New Contract and Strengthens Relationship with DHS/FEMA
Reston, VA - March 19, 2007 - ConceptSolutions (www.Concept-Solutions.com), a fast growing information management and technology consultant company serving commercial, government, and military organizations, announced today it has won a contract with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency (DHS/FEMA) Acquisition Gulf Coast Recovery (AGCR) Office. During the one-year contract, the ConceptSolutions team will support future response and recovery efforts in the Gulf Coast area.
“The AGCR project is an important business win for ConceptSolutions and, we hope, just the beginning of our new partnership with DHS/FEMA,” said John Krahulec, executive vice president and COO, ConceptSolutions. “After several contract wins this past year, we continue to diversify our government client base and build lasting relationships with agencies that create meaningful impact in communities nationwide.”
Under the contract, the ConceptSolutions team will provide AGCR with a variety of functional and system support services, including contract award review and validation, activity management and control reporting, technology optimization to improve government efficiency and effectiveness, and Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) systems support.
The ConceptSolutions team includes AcqSIS (Acquisition System Integration & Support), a consulting firm specializing in acquisition support to public sector customers. From procurement to payment, AcqSIS covers all phases of acquisition planning and implementation from contract and system close-out.
The DHS/FEMA contract continues the new business momentum ConceptSolutions' gained in 2006. In October, ConceptSolutions announced it had won a two-year, BITS II contract worth an estimated $6 million from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to continue an upgrade of the agency’s Military Operations (MILOPS) Systems. MILOPS is a real-time information management gateway that offers invaluable online airspace information to a variety of government, military and civilian agencies, including general and commercial aviation.
In September, ConceptSolutions announced that FAA’s Command, Control and Communications (C3) office and Air Traffic Organization (ATO) had selected the company to develop and implement a suite of IT solutions for improving the speed, capacity and efficiency of FAA’s Crisis Response and Emergency Operations (CR/EO) team. The CR/EO system will have three main components: a Dynamic Events Network (DEN) Monitor, used for day-to-day incident tracking, logging, and data mining; a CR/EO Directory, to facilitate communication among emergency response personnel during crises; and an Incident Monitor, a decision-making tool for emergency respondents.
