ConceptSolutions Launches First Upgrade To FAA’s Special Use Airspace Management System Reston, VA - June 14, 2006 - ConceptSolutions (www.Concept-Solutions.com), a growing information management and technology consulting company, announced today that it has kicked off a nationwide deployment of a new Military Airspace Data Entry (MADE) system for the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Air Traffic Office of System Operations Security. MADE is an automated, Web-based system that enables the US Department of Defense (DOD) and branches of the military to safely and efficiently schedule use of Special Use Airspace (SUA), Air Traffic Control Assigned Airspace (ATCAA), and Military Training Routes. MITRE/CAASD, the FAA’s Federally Funded Research and Development Center, laid the groundwork for developing and subsequently deploying the MADE system. This was accomplished through a series of SUA research trials in Central Florida, Central Texas, and Ohio. SUA includes, but is not limited to, Military Operations Areas (MOA), restricted areas, warning areas, prohibited areas, alert areas, and controlled firing areas. This year, ConceptSolutions will rollout training on the MADE software for a growing list of SUA scheduling sites, nationwide. In addition, ConceptSolutions will work with all branches of the military to identify future requirements to improve scheduling of SUAs and provide more accurate accounting of airspace usage.
