ConceptSolutions Begins Development of a Call Center Application Using Microsoft .Net
March 2004 - ConceptSolutions, LLC, a leading business intelligence provider, has begun a new initiative at Covance, a leading drug development services company, to rebuild an PowerBuilder based Call Center application using Microsoft .Net software. Covance's goal was to optimize agent productivity by redesigning the graphical user interface of the call support system. At the same time, Covance needed to have the application rewritten in .Net to comply with the new corporate IT initiative. However, only half of the existing application, written in PowerBuilder, was to be converted in the first phase. ConceptSolutions studied current agent usage of the call support system and redesigned screens utilizing State Visualization principals to promote ease of entry, and ease of update. Once the user interface layout and design issues were solved, the next step was to develop a .Net application that would improve agent productivity yet still interact with the remaining piece of the PowerBuilder application.
